| How do I buy from You?
Once you have decided which make and model you are interested in and want to proceed we advise you to either telephone us on 0845 0944843 or email: sales@autozone4cars.com. We will then be able to check the avaliability of the car and discuss finance arrangements and Part Exchange if necessary. We prefer to deal with you this way as it is a very important purchase and not something which we feel we can complete entirely online. We can email or Fax you an order form and once you have checked, signed and returned this together with a deposit (Which can be taken over the phone on Credit/Debit Card), then we proceed and formally order the vehicle for you.
Initially on taking your order we will ask for between £500 and £1000 deposit depending on the value of your purchase. Any finance proposals must then be completed and processed. Quite soon we should know how long it will take to get your car into Chichester. We then need to make sure we have all documentation necessary i.e. proof of ID - Driving Licence , household bills, and any documentation regarding your Part Exchange.
Two weeks before delivery we will ask for the balance of the money. A few days before we will firm up exact time the your vehicle will be ready.
Why may my vehicle be delayed?
There are some problems which we cannot control. Sometimes when a car is inspected before being released from the factory there is a fault found and this has to be corrected. Other reasons are logistics of many cars being delivered all over the country and ordinary things such as the Transporter being stuck in traffic. On our side we are sometimes met with finance issues such as the incorrect identification being given to finance company or more commonly the insurance certificate not turning up on time. These are all things which we endeavor to keep to a minimum but should a problem arrive we keep in touch with you.
How do I finance my Vehicle?
Apart from paying in cash there are other options. You may consider Hire Purchase where you give a deposit and pay the balance over 1,2,3,4 or 5 years and own the car at the end of the period. Personal Contract Purchase is another alternative this means paying aprroximately three months payments up front then paying what we refer to as a rental each month for a period between 2 & 3 years. At the end of that period you hand the car back. This type of agreement can be varied to include servicing and maintenance. You can also take a Personal Loan whereby you basically borrow an amount of money, but he money is not just tied to using it for a car it can be used for almost anything.
What is the Delivery Charge?
The delivery charge on your order is the cost of delivery to our dealership in Chichester. Should you require the car to be delivered to your home or work address this can be arranged but will cost more.
How much does it cost to deliver to my home address?
To give you a rough idea to have the car driven from Chichester in West Sussex to Manchester it would cost in the region of £180. To have it Transported the same distance it could be as much as £500. From Chichester to London would be about £75 if driven, £175 by transporter.
What documentation do I need to provide?
If you take finance we will need to see and photocopy your original driving licence if it is the new style
What is the delivery proceedure for New Vehicles ?
Around two weeks before your car is ready for delivery we will contact you and if the suggested date or time for delivery isn't convenient there are full instructions on how to rearrange them. Our delivery service operates 5 days a week. We are also happy to rearrange the delivery address at this stage.
Whether you choose delivery or decide to collect your car from our handover centre in Chichester, we'll contact you two days before delivery just to confirm all details remain correct. It is very important, and again part of our security procedure, that we are able to contact you at this stage - deliveries will not be made until we have your positive confirmation that you are expecting your car on the agreed date. Please note
All cars are thoroughly checked inside and out at the time of collection from our supplier and again before delivery to make sure they completely match your order requirements. We'll also make sure, on your behalf, that the car is spotlessly clean and free from any damage.However if you have requested the car to be delivered to your door, as the car will be driven it may collect road traffic grim depending on the weather on the day of delivery.
You can choose to collect your car from our handover centre in Chichester or alternatively you can have your car delivered to your door,at an agreed cost.
If you have a part exchange you will then have to collect your new car from Chichester, as we will have to inspect your part exchange on the day in order to verify your description of your old car.
This information is based on information supplied by the manufacturer at the point of order and occasionally is subject to changes beyond our control. You will be advised of changes to the earliest expected delivery date should they occur.
When will my car be ready for delivery?
The delivery lead-time quoted against each make and model indicates the number of weeks we expect it will take from the date you place your order with Autozone to your car being available in the UK and ready for delivery to you. This is therefore the earliest expected delivery date.
When the car has arrived in the UK and passed our Dealeres 70-point PDI check we will contact you again to start arranging delivery. We'll be delighted to work with you to suit your individual needs.
There are some things beyond our control that can potentially delay the delivery of your car:
- We rely on our supplying dealer's estimate of delivery.
- Any PDI failure at the Dealership may result in delays if parts are to be replaced under warranty.This is standard proceedure with all car manufacturers.
- We need your prompt attention to our requests for deposit and balance payments, and for any other documents or information we need to process your order.
Provided all this is OK, the whole process will be completed in time for the anticipated delivery week. But please remember that the delivery information is supplied by the manufacturer and occasionally is subject to changes beyond our control. You will be advised of any changes should they occur.
So when do I have to make my final balance payment?
In order to pay our supplier and collect the car on your behalf it is very important that we receive your cleared funds in time. We will send you a reminder closer to the time.
What happens if I don't make my final balance payment on time?
You cannot take ownership of your car until the full final balance payment has been received by us and the funds have been cleared. Overdue or partial final balance payments can lead to the cancellation of your order - please refer to our Terms and Conditions for details on how this applies.
What are the methods of payment?
Cash/Cheque Purchase
£500 is taken at point of order this is non-refundable if the order is cancelled by the customer. The balance if paid by cheque needs five working days for clearance. If paying by building society cheque or Bankers Draft this can be done on the day of delivery if you are collecting the vehicle or if the car is being delivered we need to receive the cheque 2 days before delivery as delivery drivers are not insured to accept payment.Cash need to be brought into the Dealership and receipted by a member of staff. Due to Government legislation we can not accept cash in access of £9000
Credit Cards
Any amount exceeding the £500 deposit will be charged an additional credit card fee of 3.5%. This relates to what we are charged by the credit cad company. Therefore if you were paying a balance of £2000 we would charge to your card £2070.
BACS and Chaps
Payments made direct by Bank Transfer/chaps payments need to be made 2 working days in advance of the delivery of your car.
BACs payments need to be made 5 working days in advance of the delivery of your car
